Victor Haskins
treats us to a fine promotional video that lets his velvety sound soar.
Click on VCU's 'Make It Real' Campaign.   Victor used the Elegant model E to delight us with his inventive improvisations. A graduate of Virginia Commonweath University, Victor has released a debut album of original compositions that is sure to get a lot of deserved attention. An alumnus of the Betty Carter Jazz Ahead residency program at the John.F.Kennedy Center for the Perfoming Arts, Victor is clearly a man "on the move".  Listen to the following samples from Victor's new CD entitled "The Truth" by clicking on the left side of the play box.(actual CD quality MUCH better than this mp3 sample)

Victor is comfortable in a variety of musical roles like soloist, improviser, sideman, or section player, in addition to serving as composer, arranger, bandleader, clinician, and music instructor. He leads The Victor Haskins Group that plays original compositions and arrangements created by Victor and that also performs repertoire well-known to fans of jazz and blues standards.

Mark Rapp upgraded from a Monette flugel mouthpiece to our Model F+.   Click here to listen  to his new setup on a new release entitled "Good Eats". As trumpeter, composer, arranger, didgeridoo player, recording and touring artist, Mark has lived and performed in New Orleans, New York City and European venues, as well as in his home state of South Carolina. He has performed with top artists, ranging from Branford Marsalis to Hootie and the Blowfish. Mark has released 4 diverse recordings, which include leading and playing the closing track of Disney’s "Everybody Wants to be a Cat" CD. His release "Good Eats" (Dinemec Jazz) had critics saying, "Rapp is quickly developing a reputation as a superb interpreter and great stylist, willing to tackle the history of this music with his eyes on the past and his mind on the present and future of this music." ..... from allaboutjazz.com    Find out more about Mark's many talents at www.markrapp.com

For live performance, Mark Rapp has led jazz groups in a myriad of venues at Jazz clubs like Snug Harbor (New Orleans), Blue Note (NYC), The Jazz Standard (NYC), Yoshi’s (San Francisco), Blues Alley (Washington, D.C.), Jazzland (Vienna, Austria), AMR (Geneva, Switzerland) to Jazz Tunnel (Zagreb, Croatia).  Joe DiGiorgio and his group the "2-Tones" give us to a pleasant version of Basin Street Blues.   Click the arrow below to start his video. Joe gets a lot of compliments on the fine sound he produces in the Dayton, Ohio region, using a Schilke X3 trumpet and a Dark  model D mouthpiece. As a comeback player, Joe overcame severe post-operative facial dystonia ...... an amazing feat, as you will hear and see below.

Here are some other amazing samples as recorded with a Shires-brand trumpet by an artist who is now playing and endorsing the new Bach Artisan trumpets.
